The Giver

I very much enjoyed the book The Giver.  It was a great book that had me hanging onto each word.  It made me think of how we take for granted our lives of music, color, and emotions. I liked this book and it opened up my eyes to everything around me.

The Cardturner

In Louis Sachar’s novel The Cardturner a 17 year old boy is thrust into playing Bridge with his rich granduncle Lester, a card game he finds completely boring on his mother’s insistnce.  Within just a few hands Alton finds he is in love with the game. The wonderfully pieced together story not only inspired me to want to take up bridge but also taught me that you can do anything you set your mind to. I was reading into the early morning and in every spare minute I had in class (not to mention the ones that I took). You’ll find yourself in a whole new realm of reading once you put The Cardturner in your hands.

Vampire Academy: The Last Sacrafice

In Richelle Mead’s Vampire Academy series the latest book is The Last Sacrafice. The readers once again find themselves lost in the vampire world of Rose the dhampir.  In this exciting installment, Rose has been framed for killing the Queen of the Moroi so like typical Rose she comes up, with the help of her friends, a plan to escape and clear her name. This book will keep you guessing and turning the pages. Who killed the Queen? Does Lissa really have a secret sister? You’ll have to find out for yourself.

The Outsiders

"The Outsiders" Is a Fiction Novel. This is a great book for ANY teen due to it's adventurous story line. It's good for teens because it shows how friends stick together. The book also shows how different groups can get along even though they may be from different backgrounds. If you are in need of a short, touching book, then pick up "The Outsiders".

Alex Rider: Storm Breaker

The book that I read was Alex Rider: Storm Breaker.
I thin k that this book was okay. The reason I think this is because I have also read some of the other Alex rider books and they are pretty much the same. They all follow the basic format. First Alex gets in trouble at the beginning of the story. Then he gets contacted by the MI6 and gets briefed on the mission and gets his gadgets. After that he does his mission. Then the bad guy usually gets killed or arrested. This is why I thought it was okay.

Twilight Fever

Twilight, a romantic and twisted novel, is one of the greatest books I've ever read.  I totally recommend it to anybody (even you guys).  Besides Twilight, it has several other books in the series.  It is a great and very big book for teenagers, and parents too! So, for anyone that likes romance, I recommend this book to you.

the Hunger Games

I  couldn't put down the Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins.  It was dark and twisty, fun and entertaining.  If you like hunting, or think it's gross, this is the book for you.  THREE people recommended the trilogy to me in ONE DAY, and it was worth it.  This trilogy keeps you on the edge of your seat, better than ANY reality game show, even, dare I say, more of a nail biter than when Auburn beat Alabama last season.  Warning: The dishes WON'T get washed 'til you've finished this book, so plan to read it when your chores are done for the weekend and you can hide from the parents, siblings and boy/girlfriends, uninterrupted, for a day or two.
